OBIT BURCH, CARL CLAY

BURCH, Carl Clay, 56, Lexington, died Friday, April 30, 1993, at the Stonewall Jackson Hospital, Lexington. Mr. Burch was born December 6, 1936, in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Hobert Burch and Virginia Tyler Burch. Mr. Burch was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Buena Vista and was formerly employed as a material handler for Mastics in Stuarts Draft, Va. He is survived by his wife, Betty Cales Burch, Lexington; a daughter, Kimberley B. Lilley, Buena Vista; two sons, Carl Shannon Burch and Michael David Burch, both of Lexington; one sister, Frances Clark, Lexington; one brother, Robert D. Burch, Buena Vista; and one grandchild, Kristen Burch; a special niece, Shirley Blackburn; and two special friends, Raymond Staton and Nancy Whiteley. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, May 3, 1993, 11 a.m. from the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Staton and Rev. David Dickerson officiating with burial to follow in the McElwee Chapel Cemetery, Bustleburg. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Victory Baptist Church, P.O. Box 693, Buena Vista, Va. 24416. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
