OBIT PAINTER, HAROLD WILLIAM

PAINTER, Harold William, 70, of Charlottesville, and formerly of Chiloquin, Ore., died Friday, April 30, 1993, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. Born on May 20, 1922, in San Francisco, Calif., he was the son of the late Howard Clyde and Cecile Dove Potter Painter. He is survived by his friend of many years, Jim Brown, of Charlottesville. Mr. Painter served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of American Craft and American Tapestry Alliance. A memorial service will be conducted at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 1924 Arlington Blvd., Charlottesville, VA 22903. Harold also wanted to encourage people to consider organ donation, because the need is so great. The Teague Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
