OBIT MITCHELL, LUCY KATE

MITCHELL, Lucy Kate, 73, of Bedford, died Friday, April 30, 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey A. Mitchell Sr., and a daughter, Ernestine Reynolds. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Dewey Jr. and Mary Mitchell, Roanoke, William and Sadie Mitchell, Baltimore, Md.; daughters and sons-in-law, Ida and Samuel Ischway, Baltimore, Md., Lucy and Joseph Palmer, Roanoke, Edna and Clyde Jordan, Ruby Flagg, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; brothers, Joshua Casey, John Casey, Rufus Casey, Henry Casey, all of Roanoke; sisters, Annie Forrest, Forest, Geraldine Casey, Roanoke, Patty Hurley, California; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a very devoted friend, Madeline Childress, Roanoke; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Bibleway Pentecostal Apostolic Church of Christ. Elder Robert K. Ingram will officiate with interment in the Williams Memorial Park. The procession will assemble at 926 Rockland Ave. N.W. The family will receive friends Monday 7 to 8 p.m. at the church. Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
