OBIT BARNES, JANE MOORE

BARNES, Jane Moore, 66, of Rt. 2, Radford, died Saturday, May 1, 1993, at her home. She was formerly of 21 Midway St., Bristol, Va., a native of Richmond, Va. and had made her home in Bristol for many years before moving to Radford. She was a member of State Street United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert H. Barnes. Surviving are a daughter, Kerry Jane Barnes, Radford; two sons, Richard Elbert Barnes, Bristol, Tenn., David Bruton Barnes, Bristol, Va.; one granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Barnes, Bristol, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Henry Bass Moore Jr., Wytheville, Va. Funeral services for Mrs. Jane Moore Barnes will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Akard Funeral Chapel. Rev. Nelson Woody and Rev. Rhonda Cooper will officiate. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Akard Funeral Home. Akard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
