OBIT CARROLL, MATT M.

CARROLL, Matt M., 79, of Salem, died Sunday, May 2, 1993, at a local hospital. Mr. Carroll was retired from the City of Salem. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Eldridge Richards, Ann and Mason Boyd; son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Phyllis Carroll; one brother, Marvin Carroll; six grandchildren, Melinda Dillon, Cathy Lineberry, Cameron Carroll, Lee Boyd, Karen Boyd and Kevin Boyd; two great-granddaughters, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. R. Stuart Carlton officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
