OBIT VAUGHT, ULYSSES K., ("U.K.")

VAUGHT, Ulysses K., ("U.K."), 89, of Richfield Retirement Center, Salem, died Sunday, May 2, 1993. He was a retired purchasing director from Appalachian Power Co. with 47 years service. Surviving are his wife, Jessie H. Vaught; two daughters, Jane Vaught, Alexandria, Patricia Vaught, Chapel Hill, N.C.; and a sister, Ada Bronson, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. A memorial service will be conducted at noon Thursday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials contributions be made to The Roanoke City Public Library (706 S. Jefferson St., Roanoke, Va. 24016). The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel immediately following the service.
