OBIT TESKE, A. FRANK SR.

TESKE, A. Frank Sr. 78, of Blacksburg, died Sunday, May 2, 1993 at Lewis Gale Hospital, Salem. Mr. Teske was an associate professor of physical education at Virginia Tech. He was a native of South Haven, Michigan, born June 19, 1914 to the late August Henry and Lynn B. Warner Teske. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Marie Teske and is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Frank Jr. and Betty Teske, Charles and Debbie Teske, all of Blacksburg, Richard and Helen Teske, McLean; two sisters, Virginia T. Smith, Raleigh, N.C. and Dawn T. Porter, Richmond; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 5 at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Alfred Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund, P.O. Box 10207, Blacksburg, VA 24062. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
