OBIT TABOR, EARL GOODWELL

TABOR, Earl Goodwell, 78, of Box 3352, Bluefield, W.Va., (Brushfork), died Monday, May 3, 1993, at his home. Born in Maybeury, W.Va., he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Minnie Bowling Tabor. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 50 years and had been a resident of Claytor Lake for 12 years after retiring from Tabor Machine Shop of which he was the founder. He was a member of the Coaldale Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Conlee Tabor; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Tabor; two brothers, Woodrow Tabor, and Robert Tabor; two sisters, Ruby Brown, and Margaret Lawson. He is survived by two sons, Lindy V. Tabor of Wytheville, Hollis H. Tabor of Brushfork; two sisters, Mrs. A. G. (Juanita) Anderson of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Katherine Lacy of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Roy Lacy officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell. Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.
