MORRISON HURT; WORKOUT POSTPONED

Tommy Morrison, training in Lexington for a bout with George Foreman, injured his shoulder and neck in a workout and has postponed an exhibition scheduled for today. The public workout has been moved to May 19 at 7:30 p.m. at VMI's Cameron Hall.

\ At Buchanan, Troy Thompson's third hit of the day drove in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth as James River slipped past Covington 9-8 in high school baseball. Thompson finished 3-for-4 with two doubles. For Covington, Jeff Tucker went 5-for-5 with four runs scored, three RBI, a double and a two-run homer.

\ At River's Edge Sports Complex on Monday, Natalie Dibling scored two goals and seven other Patriots scored as Patrick Henry defeated Magna Vista 9-0. Goalkeeper Shannon Groves had two saves for PH (5-0-1), which outshot Magna Vista 37-4.
