Allen Iverson, Virginia's Associated Press Group AAA player of the year in football and basketball, will be tried as an adult for his alleged role in a bowling alley brawl, a judge ruled in Hampton. Iverson is one of four people charged with maiming by mob for their alleged roles in the Feb. 14 incident that left three people injured. The charge is a felony, and conviction could result in a prison sentence of up to 20 years.

The Southeastern Conference and the Peach Bowl in Atlanta reached an agreement that will send a top-ranked SEC team to the postseason game to meet an opponent from the Atlantic Coast Conference. The bowl is in the second year of a three-year agreement with the ACC.
