OBIT COFFEY, CHARLES WARD

COFFEY, Charles Ward, 65, of Smith Mountain Lake, died Monday, May 3, 1993. He was retired from General Motors with 35 years service. Surviving are his wife, Jacqueline Kelly Coffey; a son, Charles (Chip) Coffey, Vancouver, Wash.; a daughter, Susan Rahman, Seattle, Wash.; his stepchildren, George H. Snyder, Lexington, Ky.; Brandon Jay Snyder, Merril Cary Snyder, both of Orlando, Fla., Kelly C. Snyder, Scottsdale, Ariz.; his mother, Edna Breeden Coffey, Bedford; a sister, Anne Miles, Bedford; also four grandchildren, Daniel A., Lindsay E., Malissa A. and Laura C. Coffey. A memorial service will be held at Bedford Presbyterian Church Thursday, May 6, 11 a.m. with Dr. Richard Boyce officiating. A committal service will be held at a later date at Memorial Park in Zanesville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association in his memory. Oakey's Roanoke Chapel is handling arrangements.
