OBIT PRITCHARD, JOSEPHINE FRANCIS
PRITCHARD, Josephine Francis, 81, of 3 Sunset Dr., Martinsville, died
Sunday night, May 2, 1993, at Memorial Hospital. She was born in Roanoke, July
3, 1911, a daughter of the late George Francis and Susan Thomas Francis. She
was a member of Fontaine Baptist Church and an active member of the Senior
Citizen's Club of Martinsville and Henry County. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Syl V. Pritchard Sr.; and a daughter, Lillie Mae Jacobson.
Survivors include three sons, Sylvester B. Pritchard Jr. of Shalimar, Fla.,
Dr. George E. Pritchard of Richmond, Joseph R. Pritchard of Colorado Springs,
Colo.; one daughter, Mary Lou Stabler of Medford, Ore.; three brothers, James
H. Francis of Buchanan, Joseph Francis of Hampton, George Francis of Roanoke;
one sister, Kamaline Thornton of Roanoke; 15 grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren; and many wonderful friends. Funeral services will be held
2 p.m. Wednesday at Fontaine Baptist Church with the Rev. Bynum D. Orr
officiating. Her remains will be taken to Fontaine Baptist Church at 2 p.m.
Tuesday. Visitation will be at the church from 7 to 8:30 and at other times at
her home at 3 Sunset Dr., Chatham Heights. Interment will be in Roselawn
Burial Park. Arrangements by Stone Funeral Home, Inc., Martinsville.
