OBIT LUCAS, DANNY RAY

LUCAS, Danny Ray, 38, of Greensboro, N.C., formerly of Blacksburg, Va., died Monday, May 3, 1993, in Greensboro, N. C. Danny was born in Christiansburg, Va. on December 30, 1954. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Carter Lucas. Surviving are his father, Minor G. Lucas; one sister and brother-in-law, Sandy L. and Gary Bland; one brother and sister-in-law, Daryl and Debbie Lucas, all of Christiansburg; one half sister, Shirley Hall, Pulaski; one half brother, Johnny Lucas, Dublin; a special friend, Rosa Bell, Greensboro, N. C.; two nieces. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 1993, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Michael Bond will officiate. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Greensboro, 2500 Summit Place, Greensboro, N. C. 27405. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
