PERSONAL COMPUTER COURSES AT NRCC

New River Community College will offer two courses for personal computer users.

A hands-on course on "Microsoft Windows 3.1," CIS 166, will be taught Monday and Wednesday evenings, 6-9:30, starting May 26.

Students should have at least a working knowledge of basic computer concepts and word processing skills.

Class size is limited.

"Introduction to Telecommunications," CIS 230, a course in local area networks will be taught on the same schedule. Students will set up actual local area networks from start to finish.

Students should be familiar with microcomputer operating systems, architecture and hardware.

Each class is worth four credit hours.
