AIRMAN 1ST CLASS BRIAN C. ANDREWS, son of Milton L. and Johnetta A. Andrews of 2757 Meadowview Drive, has completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

Andrews is a 1992 graduate of William Fleming High School.

\ NAVY SEAMAN RECRUIT SHERMAN L. DEANE, son of Eloise S. and Sherman L. Deane Sr. of 1107 Forest Park Blvd., has completed recruit training at Great Lakes, Ill.

Deane is a 1991 graduate of William Fleming High School.

\ NAVY SEAMAN RECRUIT RAYMOND A. MOYER, son of Shirley J. Craddock of 2309 Yeager Ave. N.E. and Raymond A. Moyer of 200 Mountain Meadow Drive, Vinton, has completed recruit training at Great Lakes, Ill.

Moyer is a 1992 graduate William Fleming High School.

\ LANCE CPL. MICHAEL A. HILL, son of Billy R. and Betty J. Hill of Fincastle, has been assigned for six months to the Persian Gulf with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, based at Camp Lejeune, N.C., as part of the USS Wasp Amphibious Ready Group.

\ CPL. ZACHARY C. BOWER, son of Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Bower of Blue Ridge, has been assigned for six months to the Persian Gulf with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, based at Camp Lejeune, N.C., as part of the USS Wasp Amphibious Ready Group.

Bower is a 1990 graduate of Lord Botetourt High School.

\ NAVY AIRMAN CHRISTIAN E. BURNETT, son of Keith C. and Lou A. Burnett of 85 Summit Way, is in the Adriatic Sea aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, based in Norfolk.

The ship is participating in Operation Deny Flight, a NATO operation in which allied forces are enforcing a United Nations no-fly zone over Bosnia-Herzegovina.

\ AIR FORCE STAFF SGT. JAMES O. WHITE, son of John E. White and stepson of Velma C. White of 3477 Brandon Ave., has been awarded the Joint Service Commendation and Joint Service Achievement medals.

White, a ground radio communications technician at Galena (Alaska) Airport, is a 1980 graduate of William Fleming High School.

\ NAVY AIRMAN REGINALD L. PRICE, son of Shirley S. Barbour of 2722 Mountainaire Ave. N.W. and Ralph L. Price of 4611 Biltmore Drive, is in the Adriatic Sea aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, based in Norfolk.

Colbert is a 1989 graduate of Patrick Henry High School.

\ NAVY PETTY OFFICER 2ND CLASS JONATHAN ROBINSON, son of Rosa L. Robinson of 3404 Cove Road N.W., has been assigned to the Mediterranean Sea for six months as part of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt battle group. Robinson is aboard the destroyer tender USS Shenandoah, based in Norfolk.

Robinson is a 1975 graduate of Patrick Henry High School.

\ NAVY PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS BENJAMIN A. RAY, son of Ronald K. and Georgia K. Ray of Catawba, is in the Adriatic Sea aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, based in Norfolk.
