RENAISSANCE ACADEMY TO STAGE CHILDRENS CONCERT

The Renaissance Music Academy of Virginia will present a concert for children and their parents Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Virginia Tech University Squires Recital Salon. The concert will feature string players from the Washington, D.C., area and pianists from Blacksburg, ages 8-14, performing solo and chamber music. Admission is $1.

The Renaissance Music Academy is a non-profit music school in Blacksburg that will open in September. The school will be open to children ages 4-18, and in its first year will offer private and group lessons in piano, violin and cello, theory and ear training, master classes, chamber music and recitals. The founders are Teresa Ehrlich, a concert pianist and teacher, and David Ehrlich, violinist with the Audubon String Quartet.

Enrollment information will be available at the concert, or call 953-2222.
