LIONS TO OPERATE EYEGLASS RECYCLING CENTER IN ROANOKE

The International Association of Lions Clubs has established a new eyeglass recycling center in Roanoke. The Lions of Virginia will operate the center in the Lions Sight Foundation Building at Fifth Street and Elm Avenue.

Lions Clubs from 10 states will coordinate the collection of used eyeglasses, which will be shipped to the center to be cleaned, sized, prescription determined, packed and shipped to new users in Africa and Central and South America.
