WOMAN'S ROBBERY SENTENCE SUSPENDED

A 22-year old Galax woman convicted of robbing a clerk at Super X Drug last November has received a suspended 10-year sentence in Wythe County Circuit Court.

Crystal Diann Kinzer was arrested last year when a store cashier confronted two women leaving the store about shoplifting allegations. The two got into a struggle with the clerk and ended up taking $40 from her in addition to merchandise removed from the store.

Kinzer and 19-year-old Terry K. Saunders were arrested in Galax the day after the incident. Saunders is scheduled for trial July 27. - Southwest bureau
