TRENTON ROCKS W&L WOMEN 18-4

Sophomore Pam Pluguez had six goals and an assist to lead Trenton State to an 18-4 victory Saturday over Washington and Lee in an NCAA Division III women's lacrosse tournament game in Trenton, N.J.

The Lions (13-0), who led 10-2 at halftime, fired 41 shots at Washington and Lee goalie Sarah Smith. Smith made a career-high 17 saves for the Generals (14-3).

Lisa Dowling scored two goals for Washington and Lee in the Generals' first NCAA appearance. She finished with 81 goals for the season. Angie Carrington and Nicole Ripken each had one goal.
