OBIT WHITMER, WILLIAM N.

WHITMER, William N., 62, of Eagle Rock, died Friday, May 7, 1993. He is survived by a close companion, Mary Stone; one son, William Whitmer Jr. of Baltimore, Md.; three daughters, Verlie Bott of Hampton, Karen Whitmer of Lumberton, N. C., Rebecca Parker of Lumberton, N. C.; four foster daughters, Barbara Bowling, Brenda Hopkins, Patricia Narron, and Susan Stone; two sisters, Bernice VanNess of Newport News, Vaughnie Robinson of Covington; six grandchildren. Funeral Monday, May 10 at 2 p.m. in the Shiloh United Methodist Church conducted by R. C. Wagoner with burial in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 to 9 at the Eagle Rock Funeral Home.
