OBIT CHILDRESS, DR. WILLIAM BRYANT

CHILDRESS, Dr. William Bryant, 49, of Williamsport, Md., and formerly of Hillsville, died Friday, May 7, 1993, in Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa. He was a graduate of Hillsville High School, Hillsville, Va. He graduated from Davidson College, N. C. in 1966 and from the University of Virginia with an EdD in 1973. He was a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Association of Clinical Hypnosis and a psychologist with Antietiam Psychological Association, Hagerstown, Md. He is survived by his wife, Marianne Danker Childress; two sons, Marcus Brian Childress of N.Y. City and Michael George Childress of Dublin, Va.; a stepdaughter, Vonnie Amy and a stepson, Glen Amy of Richmond, Va.; his parents, Conduff G. and Alice B. Childress of Hillsville, Va.; two brothers, Dr. Conduff G. Childress Jr. of Apex, N. C. and Dr. Samuel R. Childress of West Chicago, Ill. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 1993 at Osborne Funeral Home in Williamsport, Md. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, 1993 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, Md.
