Mixed paper - Magazines, notebooks and stationery; scrap and computer paper; product packaging like cereal boxes and paper egg cartons.
Newsprint - Don't throw your NewsFun away - recycle it! It will be turned into more newsprint, insulation, packaging materials and roofing materials.
Corrugated cardboard - This is a heavy two-layered cardboard with a ribbed section in the middle. Plastic- or tar-coated cardboard is not acceptable.
Glass - Wash your glass garbage before recycling and toss it into the bin based on the glass's color. Acceptable are beverage and food containers; not acceptable are mirrors, ceramic products, clay pots, crystal, light bulbs, window glass, heat-resistant ovenware and drinking glasses.
Plastics - Take a look at the bottom of your plastic products. There should be a number inside a triangle that tells you where to recycle it. Cycle Systems accepts No. 1 (clear plastic, such as 2-liter beverage bottles) and No. 2 plastics (natural plastics, such as milk jugs and orange juice bottles).
Metals - Steel and bimetal cans (used largely for food and beverage containers); aluminum (for cans, aluminum foil, lawn furniture); copper and brass (some door knobs, most plumbing fixtures); lead (used largely in batteries); stainless steel/nickel (some sinks, kitchen cooktops and utensils); and scrap iron (bicycles, automobiles, trains).
