SKYWATCH FEATURES WORKSHOP ON TELESCOPES

Roanoke's Science Museum of Western Virginia and Hopkins Planetarium will present its monthly Skywatch Saturday at the museum and Virginia Explore Park.

Planetarium director Britt Rossie and Roanoke Valley Astronomical Society members Frank Baratta and Mark Hodges members will lead a workshop on telescopes from 2-5 p.m. at the museum. Starshow "Death of Mars" will follow in the planetarium.

At 8:30 p.m., the observing session will move to Explore Park if weather conditions hold.

Advance registration for the workshop ($18), which is limited to 20 people, is recommended. Skywatch costs $2.25, and the observing session is free. Call 342-5710.
