OBIT ELKINS, JESSE J.

ELKINS, Jesse J., 54, of Roanoke, died Sunday, May 9, 1993, at his residence. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle O. Elkins; daughter, Rebecca Elkins Conrad; son, Kenneth L. Elkins; granddaughter, Alisha Nichole Conrad; brothers, Edward Lee Elkins and Earl E. Elkins, all of Roanoke; stepbrother, James Matheny of Rocky Mount; and stepsister, Dora Clark, McGaheysville. A funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Rev. Frank Feather officiating. Burial will be in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Monday and Tuesday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
