OBIT WHEELER, HERMAN MEEKS

WHEELER, Herman Meeks, 87, of Radford, died Monday, May 10, 1993, in Highland Manor Nursing Home. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and a former member of Grove United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Katherine T. Wheeler; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Teresa Wheeler, Jim and Brenda Wheeler, all of Radford; three grandchildren, Mike, Todd, and Shane Wheeler; one stepgrandson, Ben Shepherd; three great-grandchildren, Alex, Katie, and Robbie Wheeler, and a special nephew, Bill Haley, Durham, N.C. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel in Radford with the Rev. Clarence Dishman officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home.
