WYTHEVILLE POLICE BELIEVE MAN DROWNED

The body of a 56-year-old Wytheville man found in Reed Creek on Monday night is being sent to Roanoke for an autopsy.

Wytheville police identified the man as Donald Howard Wolford of Grayson Road. Police said he apparently drowned. He was found in the water shortly before 7 p.m. Monday, partly in the creek and partly on the bank, just above the town filtration plant.
