AT&T and Eastman Kodak Co. said Tuesday they would form an alliance to develop applications for a telephone that displays full-color still images transmitted over ordinary phone lines.

Executives at American Telephone and Telegraph Co. said they would work with Kodak to incorporate its Photo CD image-storing system into AT&T's Picasso Still-Image Phone, which was introduced Tuesday. The Picasso telephone, priced at $3,295, is intended for professionals who require fast transmission of detailed images. - Staff report
