WINNING CASH 5 TICKETS BOUGHT IN FRANKLIN, BEDFORD

A Bedford County man won Monday's Cash 5 drawing by using birthdays to select the winning numbers.

Michael A. Orange bought his winning ticket with the numbers 2-4-16-19-29 at the Thaxton Market on U.S. 460. He said he'll save some of the $68,000, after taxes, and use some to pay bills.

Another winning ticket was sold at Buzz In Market in Wirtz, but no one had come forward to claim the prize.

Statewide, there were 263 tickets matching four of five numbers, worth $100 each; and 6,911 tickets matching three of five, worth $5 each.
