BOTI MAYNARD, CLARENCE O.
MAYNARD, Clarence O., 81, of Roanoke and formerly of Holden, W.Va., died
Friday, May 7, 1993, at home, after a long illness with cancer. He was born
November 17, 1911 in Mingo County, W.Va., and after 43 years service with
Island Creek Coal Company, retired in 1976 and moved to Roanoke. Survivors
include his wife, Goldie Bryant Maynard; two sons, Clay Maynard of Dearborn,
Mich., J. R. Maynard of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Fran Stanford and
son-in-law, Charles Stanford of Orlando, Fla., Jackie Maynard of Logan, W.Va.,
Robin Kindsvatter of Roanoke; seven grandchildren, Mike Davis of Charleston,
W.Va., Will and Derek Miller of Orlando, Fla., Randy and Kelly Maynard of
Dearborn, Mich., Gretchen Kindsvatter of Roanoke, Tiffani Maynard of Tampa,
Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Casey and Tyler Miller of Orlando, Fla.; two
brothers, Sam J. Maynard of Pontiac, Mich., Robert Maynard of Williamson,
W.Va. A private memorial service was held in Roanoke. In lieu of flowers,
memorials can be made for Cancer Research or a favorite charity. He is now
resting in peace, and he will be sadly missed and very lovingly remembered by
his family, relatives, and friends.
