NORTH FOR SENATE - NOT!

I SURE hope Virginians will not put an Oliver North in the U.S. Senate. He said he needed to raise $15 million to defeat Sen. Charles Robb. With the $20 million he's already collected, that would be $35 million.

He also states the media were out to destroy him. As far as I'm concerned, he did that himself. I have trouble believing anything he says.

As an ex-Marine, I'm ashamed he was part of the corps. He should stay inside his free security fence and thank God he's not serving time. NORMAN E. CALDWELL ROANOKE
