EMS FEST TO FEATURE PARADE OF VEHICLES

The Southwest Virginia Emergency Medical Services Council will sponsor its annual EMS Fest from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 22 at the Washington County Fairgrounds, starting with a parade of emergency vehicles.

The day's activities will include stretcher and backboard races, siren sound-alike contests, and basic and advanced emergency medical technician competitions. Ambulances and other emergency vehicles, including the state police Med Flight II helicopter, will be on display.
