OBIT DAVIS, MARY OWENS MOORMAN

DAVIS, Mary Owens Moorman, 64, of Roanoke, passed away May 12, 1993. She was a graduate of Lucy Addison High School, and a teachers aide for 23 years with the Roanoke City School system. She was a member of Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Joseph and Lula B. Owens; two sisters, Bernice Owens Saunders, Nannie Louise Owens; a devoted uncle, Henry Owens. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Quinton Davis Jr., Roanoke; son, James (Tony) Moorman, and his wife, Enid, Wichita Falls, Texas; two daughters, Irene M. Smith, Salem, Wendy R. Moorman, Roanoke; a devoted niece, Brenda O. Powell, Roanoke; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Lois Davis, Reginald and Gerri Davis, Bernard Davis, Jean and John Canty, Clarence A. Hamlar Sr., all of Roanoke; two aunts, Frances Burroughs and Agnes Owens, both of Roanoke; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
