OBIT PEDIGO, MARY WHITLOCK

PEDIGO, Mary Whitlock, 89, of Roanoke, died in a Roanoke hospital Tuesday, May 11, 1993. She was the widow of Jesse A. Pedigo, a member of Oakland Baptist Church, and a charter member of the Williamson Road Eastern Star Chapter #119. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Berkley H. (Christine) Maxey, Mrs. John C. (Phyllis) Liggan, Mrs. Fred C. (Vivian) Akers, all of Roanoke; brother, Albert Leonard Whitlock, Salem; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Angel, Roanoke, Mrs. Mattie Brown, Bluefield, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Gerald Maxey, Tim Maxey, Todd Maxey, all of Roanoke, Becky Ledbetter, Athens, Ga., Gary Allen Akers, Forest Park, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, McKenzie Akers, Forest Park, Ga., Michael Maxey, Kristen Maxey, both of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 1:30 p.m. Friday by the Rev. H. Kelly Dampeer. Burial will be in Fair View Cemetery. An Eastern Star service will be conducted at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 7:30 p.m. Thursday by Williamson Road Chapter #119. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
