OBIT STARKEY, WILLIAM RUSSELL
STARKEY, William Russell, 83, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, May 12,
1993. His residence was 1007 Clearfield Road S.W., Roanoke. He was a member of
Shenandoah Baptist Church, was a retired employee of Woods Brothers Coffee
Company, and was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by
his wife, Cody Manning Starkey. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Dorothy
Starkey Foster; one nephew and wife, Mickie L. and Cindy O. Foster, all of
Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 1 p.m.
Friday, May 14, 1993, with the Rev. Robert L. Alderman officiating. Burial
will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel
after 3 p.m. Thursday.
