OBIT SHAFER, FRANK H.
SHAFER, Frank H., 83, of Christiansburg, died Tuesday night, May 11, 1993,
in a Shawsville nursing home. He is survived by his wife, Dorris R. Shafer;
two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Tom Cook, Derwood, MD, Karen and Ed
Osterhuber, Clinton, Mass., two sisters, Anne Cregger, Blacksburg, Mary Ella
Thornton, Tappahanock; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The
funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday from the Richardson-Horne Chapel, conducted by
the Rev. William Hungate, with burial in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
the family requests memorials be made to the Main Street Baptist Church,
Christiansburg or the American Heart Association. Friends may call anytime
Thursday at the funeral home and the family will receive friends there from 6
to 8 p.m. Thursday. Arrangements by Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
