OBIT SPIERS, JUSTIN BENJAMIN

SPIERS, Justin Benjamin, 9, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 1993 at his home. He was a student at McHarg Elementary School. Survivors include his mother, Darliet Spiers of Radford; special daddy, Michael McGraw of Radford, his father, John B. Spiers III of Maniglao, Guam; maternal grandparents, Jane and Wiley Colley of Marion; paternal grandparents, Josephine and John B. Spiers Jr. of Radford; maternal great-grandmother, Ella Kate Shupe of Marion; and devoted friends, Michelle McGraw, and Nora and Carl McGraw, all of Radford; maternal aunt, Debbie Eichmann of Augusta, Ga.; maternal uncle, Wiley Colley Jr. of Marietta, Ga.; paternal aunts, Sherry Spiers of Tallahassee, Fla., Vikki Catellacci of Pauillo, Hawaii, and Joanne Spiers of Floyd; special friends, Mrs. Donna Copenhaver's 3rd grade class; Daniel Badger of Potsdam, N.Y., Robbie Hamby of Radford, Richard Irwin-Miller of Blacksburg, Ronald Miller of Radford, Jonathan McGraw of Roanoke, Jimmy Hite of Radford, Josh Greenwood of Marion. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Central United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Green officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to either Brenner Hospital Pediatric Oncology Fund, Pediatric Oncology Clinic, Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, N.C. 27157-1081 or the Ronald McDonald House, Rainbow House of Winston-Salem, Inc., 419 S. Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
