OBIT VURNAKES, GEORGE STEVE

VURNAKES, George Steve, of Baltimore, Md., passed away Wednesday, May 5, 1993 at his home. Born in Roanoke in 1926, Mr. Vurnakes was a 1949 graduate of City College in Baltimore, Md. He worked for Bethlehem Steel Company until his retirement. Surviving are two brothers and three sisters including Bertha Christofis of Roanoke. Funeral services were conducted at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Baltimore on Saturday, May 8, 1993.
