WYTHEVILLE EXPANDING BUS OPERATION HOURS

The Wytheville Transit System is expanding its hours of bus operation because of the number of riders using it.

Starting in June, the bus will operate from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. It now operates only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The system began offering rides in December for 50 cents each way. Handicapped citizens with a physician's verification of their handicap ride free.

Rides can be scheduled by calling 228-7433 (RIDE) the day before transportation is needed, within the town limits.
