\ After an absence of nearly 20 years, Bridgestone/Firestone Corp. is returning to auto racing's main event and will supply racing tires to the Indianapolis 500 by 1995, sources say. The move, expected to be announced today, would put the company in head-to-head competition with Goodyear to put tires on the winning car of America's most-watched auto race. For the past two decades, Goodyear has been the Indy 500's exclusive supplier of racing tires.
