OBIT-GORDON, ARTHUR D., ("ART")

GORDON, Arthur D., ("Art"), 83, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, May 12, 1993 in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born July 5, 1909, in Milwaukee, Wis. He graduated from the University of Michigan, School of Architecture in 1935. He was retired from Hayes Seay Mattern & Mattern. He had been a volunteer at Roanoke Memorial Hospital for the past eight years. Survivors include his wife, Katharine Small Gordon; one daughter, Jessica D. Smith, Roanoke; one son and daughter-in-law, Douglas S. and Anne M. Gordon, Plano, Texas; three grandsons. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 16, Raleigh Court Presbyterian Church by Dr. F. Tupper Garden.
