QUARLES, Erva Lee Rucker, 89, of Bedford, died Wednesday, May 12, 1993, in
Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Campbell
and Lockie Rucker. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Marie M. Moore,
Montclair, N.J.; two sons, Campbell R. Morris, Bedford, Malcolm ("Mack")
Morris, New Jersey; one devoted granddaughter, Mrs. Sandra Pemberton,
Piscataway, N.J.; one stepson, Russell Morris, Long Beach, N.J.; one God son,
Joseph Tabron, East Orange, N.J.; four grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Mattie Morris, Bedford,
Dorothy Morris of Long Beach, N.J. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Archie Quarles; daughter, Mrs. Margaret M. Thompson. Funeral services will be
conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Bedford Funeral Home Chapel in Bedford.
Viewing will be from noon until time of funeral at 2 p.m. at Bedford Funeral
Home Chapel. Interment will following in Fairmont Cemetery, Bedford.
