OBIT-CHARLES, WILLIAM MAC JR., ("JOHNNY")

CHARLES, William Mac Jr., ("Johnny"), 47, of Steeles, W.Va., died May 11, 1993. He was killed in a private airplane crash. He was born July 6, 1945, in Mapewan, W.Va. He is survived by his father, William Mac Charles Sr., Pikeville, Ky.; his mother and stepfather, Mae Burns Lawson and Raymond Lawson, both of Iaeger, W.Va. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Scarlet Dotson Charles, of the home; one daughter, Miss Dawn Lynn Charles, Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. Kim Collins, Avondale, W.Va., Mrs. Diana Thomas, Princeton, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of the Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, W.Va. The Rev. Russell King will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dotson Family Cemetery in Lebanon at 3 p.m. Friday.
