REED, Walter Allen Sr., 63, of Hartsville, S.C., died Monday, May 3, 1993,
in Cheraw, S.C.. Mr. Reed was born in Montgomery County and was the son of
Velma Wade Reed and the late Hubert H. Reed. He was a long time member of
Morrison Hill Christian Church and the Roane Church of Christ. He was a member
of White Rock Church of the Brethren in Alum Ridge. He was a member of the
Kingston Masonic Lodge. Surviving are two sons, Stephen R. Reed, Hartsville,
Walter A. Reed, Fayetteville, N.C.; two daughters, Miss Brenda Reed, Kingston,
Tenn., Mrs. Pamela Newman, Washington, N.C.; his mother of Alum Ridge; four
brothers, Donald Reed, Chester, Major Reed, Boones Mill, Harvie Reed, Denton
Reed, Alum Ridge; two sisters, Mrs. Glada Luckadoo, Christiansburg, Mrs.
Barbara Dulaney, Alum Ridge; and five grandchildren. Funeral was held Friday,
May 7, at 3:30 p.m. in Kyker Funeral Chapel with graveside services in
Kingston Memorial Gardens, Kingston, Tennessee.
