"No Greater Love - A Seminar on Organ and Tissue Donation," is scheduled May 24 at Holiday Inn/Tanglewood. Especially for religion professionals, the one-day class will cover both medical and theological aspects of donation.
Speakers will include Margaret Mohrmann, a candidate for a doctorate from the University of Virginia Department of Religion; Dr. Joseph Hayes, medical director of Carilion Transplant Center at Roanoke Memorial Hospitals; Judy Largen, regional coordinator of Virginia's Organ Procurement Agency; and two hospital chaplains, Richard Osmann of Roanoke Memorial and Wayne Lanham of Lynchburg General Hospital.

Extension program for Catholics offered
Institute for Ministry, an extension program for laity from Loyola University in New Orleans, is open for registration for residents of Western Virginia. Focused on Roman Catholics, it is open to other Christians from mainstream denominations.
The graduate-level program is sponsored in Virginia by the Catholic Diocese of Richmond. The 30-hour master's program, also available on a non-credit basis, uses printed course manuals and video tapes. Students meet in groups with their peers on a regular basis and are guided by facilitators trained at Loyola University.
