Desiree is the daughter of Mr. Francis E. Poehler and the late Dorothy L.Pullen/Poehler. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Janie Pullen of Washington, Va., and the late Charles E. Pullen. She is a graduate of Rappahannock County High School and Bluefield College, and isemployed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Virginia. Robert is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Powell of Salem, and the late Robert H. Almond. He is a graduate of Glenvar High School, attended Virginia Western and is employed by DoubleEnvelope.
Following a wedding trip to Cancun, the newlyweds will reside in Salem,Virginia.
