BRYANT-SIMMONS

Mary Elizabeth Simmons and James Walker Bryant were united in marriage on May 15, 1993 at Clearbrook Grace Brethren Church in Roanoke. Pastor Randy Garner officiated. The reception was held at Holiday Inn.

The bride is the daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Raymond A. Simmons and the granddaughter of Mrs. Irene Schillen and Mrs. Dottie Simmons, all of Roanoke. A graduate of Cave Spring High School, she attended Roanoke Memorial Hospital's School of Nursing and graduated cum laude from Virginia Western College where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. She is employed by First Union Mortgage Corporation.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr.Howard T. Bryant of Roanoke and the late Ruby H. Bryant. A graduate of Northside High School and Arnold R. BurtonVocational/Technical School, he attended Virginia Western Community College. He is employed by Dewar Properties.

Susan Jacobs was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were ConnieMiller, Wendy Graham and MelodyKelley, friends of the bride. Flowergirl was Kendal Payne, cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Evan Jacobs, nephew of the bride. The guestbook was attended by Stacy Jenkins.

The bridegroom's father was best man. Groomsmen were Tommy Bryant and David Bryant, brothers of the groom; David Jacobs, brother-in-law of the bride; also Ronnie Byrd, Jon Cochenour and Jim Cochenour, friends of the groom.

The wedding cake, adorned with pearl bead drapes and pearl doves, washandcrafted by the bride's sister, Susan Jacobs, owner of Cakes and Cateringby Susan. Photography was by KingPhotography of Vinton.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Bryant will make their home in Roanoke.
