The maid of honor was Catherine Ann Fox of Roanoke, friend of the bride. Dr. James Edwin Carico, father of the groom, served as best man. Edwin Lenn Carico, brother of the groom, and Randy Rodgers, friend of the groom, both of Lynchburg, were ushers. Host and hostess were Stephen Ellis Via, cousin of the bride, and his wife, Debby Williams-Via. Serving at the reception were Roslyn Brooks Hefner and Vickie Via Eckert, cousins of the bride, both of Roanoke.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Glenn Duncan of Troutville. She is a graduate of Lord Botetourt High School and attended Virginia Tech. She is employed by the Roanoke City Office of Economic Development and is currently on special assignment working on the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center project. She is also an Avon representative.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mr. James Edwin Carico of Lynchburg. He is a graduate of E.C. Glass High School and Lynchburg College with a B.S. in Economics. He will be pursuing a Master's Degree in the fall. He is employed by Circuit City.

The bride wore a knee length gown of periwinkle satin covered with periwinkle lace and carried a bouquet of cascading lilies, roses and ivy.

Many thanks to Correnia Summers, pianist; Donna Hurd, wedding coordinator; Gayle Clingenpeel, floral designer; Skip Dunlap, photographer; Jean Williams, caterer; and especially to our parents for their love and support.

After their honeymoon, the newlyweds will live in Roanoke.
