DAVENPORT-JOHNSON
Lynda Lee Johnson and James Vaughn Davenport were married April 10, 1993,
at 12:00 p.m. at the home of the bride and groom where the reception was also
held. Rev. Jeff Etheridge, pastor of Irongate Baptist Church, Irongate, Va.,
performed the ceremony. The matron of honor was Mrs. Emmett R. Gleason, sister
of the bride. The best man was Walter P. Davenport, brother of the groom.
Ringbearer was Michael Gleason, nephew of the bride. The bride is a daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lee Johnson, of Bedford, Va. She graduated from Liberty
High School, attended Radford College & CVCC, and is employed by Nationwide
Mutual Ins. Co. in Lynchburg, Va. The groom, a son of Mrs. Patrick H.
Davenport and the late Mr. Davenport, of Roanoke, is a graduate of Virginia
Tech. He is employed by Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Service Co. as supervisor of
ALARA Engineering in Lynchburg, Va. After the wedding trip to Sandals Resort,
Montego Bay, Jamaica, the newlyweds will live in Lynchburg, Va.
