LEWEKE-HASKINS

Melanie Lynn Haskins and ScottRussell Leweke were married Saturday, April 17, 1993 at First United Methodist Church in Salem with Reverend Thomas L. Joyce officiating. Tim Harris assisted in the ceremony with prayer andscripture readings. The reception was held at Hidden Valley Country Club.

Kathryn Glasgow, sister of thebride, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Barbara Leweke,sister of the groom; Cheryl Leweke,sister-in-law of the groom; Lori Nelson, cousin of the bride; and Elizabeth Barnes, friend of the bride. Jenna Saxton, niece of the bride, was the trainbearer. RonShelton, friend of the groom, served as best man. The ushers were Cliff Leweke, father of the groom; Robert Leweke, brother of the groom; Kevin Glasgow, brother-in-law of the bride; Joe LeGault, friend of the groom; and Jim Lucas, friend of the groom. Soloists were Rachel Harris, Tim Martin and Elizabeth Barnes. The guestbook was attended by JenniferWaybright. The program attendant was Jennifer Anderson. At the reception, Nada and Frank Anderson cut and served the cake, and Kelli Saxton was soloist.

The bride, daughter of Mrs. Nadine Kelley of Roanoke and Mr. Harry T.Haskins, Jr. of Salem, is employedby MacMillan/McGraw PublishingCompany. The groom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Leweke of Salem, owns CardinalBicycle in Roanoke. After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Vinton.
