MABES-STOVER

Beverley Kay Stover and Stephen Lee Mabes were united in marriage on May 15, 1993 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Father Jim Parke was the officiating clergyman. The reception was held at the Church Social Hall.

Brenda Williams, the groom's sister, was the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were April Stover and Janet Driscoll, cousins of the bride; Stephanie Mabes, daughter of the groom; and Danielle Burgh, friend of the bride and groom. Rose Anna Webb was the flowergirl. Ralph Mabes served as his son's best man. The ushers were Robert Dent, cousin of the groom; Paul Williams, brother-in-law of the groom; Barry Thornhill and David Thompson, friends of the groom. Wesley Brugh was the ringbearer. Terry Haynie was the guestbook attendant. Photography was by Jim Markey. A special thanks to Janet Francisco, caterer. The pianist was Katie Driscoll, cousin of the bride.

The bride's gown, designed by Bonnie, was chapel length white silk embellished with sequins and pearls. She carried a bouquet of cascading white rosebuds and ivy.

Beverley is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Lee Stover of Roanoke, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Erma Driscoll of Roanoke and the late Clifford C.Driscoll, and Mr. and Mrs. John E. Stover, Sr. of Stewartsville, Va. She is a graduate of Roanoke Catholic High School and is employed by Collegiate Pacific. Stephen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph D.Mabes of Salem, and the grandson of Mrs. Virginia B. Turner of Roanoke and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mabes. He is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and is employed by Pizza Hut, Inc.

The newlyweds will reside in Roanoke.
